At only 21½ inches high, 18½ inches deep and 11½ inches wide, the  Admiral unit is a tiny powerhouse small enough to fit in a cabinet, engine room, or on the dock - yet designed to provide maximum protection against hard water damage even when short on space.

Admiral utilizes state of the art System Controller Technology. The built-in, self-cleaning filter eliminates the need for an in-line filter. A factory-installed Bypass valve provides for an easy disconnect from your boat or recreational vehicle. Maintenance is not required and there are no cartridges to be changed—another reason YachtGuard is loved by people-on-the-go.

The YachtGUARD® First Mate water guard softener comes in various sizes and includes a 5-Micron Pre-filter that also functions as the chamber for adding salt. We recommend that it be Back washed at least once a month or when the test strips show the unit is depleted, and the included instructions show how easy it is to do. The First Mate Portable Water Softener includes the filter, hardness test strips, inlet and outlet hose adapters. It uses the highest grade of Cation-Exchange Resin. It uses ¾” full-flow piping allowing up to a 12 GPM flow rate with virtually no pressure drop.

The YachtGUARD® Captain model has a non-electric control valve. When it's time to regenerate, just turn the timer and walk away. The Captain will give you a proper recharge every time without moving hoses or disassembly. It is available in versions up to 32,000 grains of capacity. Once the meter shows it time to regenerate, just turn the regeneration knob and walk away.
